It might increase lag and use up bandwidth in game, but it would save it for sites like this as I wouldn't have to scour them for armor pics before buying.

Good idea, can't really see any downsides to it at all.

/signed, if i haven't already signed it. And I'd like a dye preview. I hate spending tons of platinum trying to find that particular matching mix.

/signed - This is a great idea, as those tiny little icons don't really give you much bearing as to how the armour will look, particularly if you're making a huge investment in 15k armour...
I think the people who don't agree with this just want to be different, I can't see how this would have any drawbacks.

This is not urgent at all.. GuildWiki does this fine, and if you need a specific color. Just make a request thread in the screenshot forum.

Nice suggestion fiery. Too bad the pvp armor isnt the 15k, or the fow skin, now is it..

I know this would have prevented me from buying the kurzick armor for my ritualist. Even after seeing it on someone else, I thought.. OMG so cute.. and then put it on my own character and it was like.. god, wtf... is this..
And to think of all the wasted amber...

I bought the fow gauntlets for male warriors, only to find out they have tiny hands, so now I only use it for tanking sometimes, since it's not worth putting a superior on it.

Oh, please! How in heaven's sake would it make your game lag?!?! IT CAN ALL BE HANDLED CLIENTSIDE (afaik!). All the armor skins are stored on your computer. Since previewing an armor to see how it looks on you doesn't change your character, but is only a temporary thing, it does not need to connect to the server for this (only to verify that you have a valid account, and login).
That is like saying the Guild Emblemer should be removed, because "it wuld [sic] just create more lag".
On a side note;
HELL YEAH I WANT THIS!
I spent ages looking for pictures of undyed 15k Kurzick compared to 15k Canthan on my monk. This will save me a lot of time in the future, as will it save the time of other people. And in the case of dye preview, I think they should be bundled. Ie, that you can also preview dying on the previewed armor (and on the one you are wearing atm), since I dye all my armor pink, so I want to see how it looks in pink before I buy it.
WoW has this, so I don't see why we cannot have it. Especially considering that looks means a lot more in GW than in WoW (though looks are not everything still).
